Patrick Joseph "Pat" Toomey, Sr. (born November 17, 1961) is an American politician. He was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania, representing the Lehigh Valley-based 15th congressional district from January 1999 to January 2005, when he retired after running for a seat in the United States Senate. From 2005 to 2009.
